Assistants

An AI assistant can answer from what your universes actually say, rather than from what it imagines, through OnlyLore's MCP server:

The MCP page, under Config in the sidebar, has the address and the steps for connecting an assistant. It belongs to you rather than to any one universe.

Connecting by signing in

Give the assistant the address. It sends you to sign in with your GreenMind account, and asks you which universes it may reach and whether it may change them. It then reaches only those, and only what you can already reach in them yourself.

Reading and changing

Any account can let an assistant read its lore. Letting it change lore is for supporters of GreenMind on Patreon: become one, or connect the Patreon account you already support with, from your GreenMind account. An assistant that may change lore can create, change and delete it in the universes it reaches where you are an editor or an owner, just as you can. Its changes reach anybody with the entry open at once (see Editing together), and anything it deletes waits in that universe's recycle bin for seven days.

A token that may change lore, made while you were a supporter, is paused if your support ends, and works again once you support again.

Tokens for automation

A sign-in is for an assistant you use. For automation that runs where nobody can sign in, such as a nightly export, make a token on the MCP page instead:

• name it for what uses it;
• choose Read only, or Read and write as a supporter;
• limit it to some of your universes, or leave every box clear for all of them, including ones you join later;
• choose how long it lasts: 30, 90 or 365 days.

The token is shown once, when it is made. OnlyLore keeps only a fingerprint of it, so put it in the environment variable your automation reads straight away; if you lose it, revoke it and make another. The page lists your tokens with when each was last used. Revoke stops anything using a token at once, and cannot be undone.
