Terms & Conditions

Effective 3 September 2026

These terms govern your use of OnlyLore, operated by GreenMind Media Inc. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

OnlyLore is a tool for recording and organising fictional worldbuilding material. It is provided free of charge at present. We may introduce paid plans in future, change what is included in a free account, or limit usage, at any time and without prior notice.

We do not guarantee that the service will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.

2. Your account

You are responsible for everything done through your account, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for the accuracy of the information you give us. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13 years old in any case.

You are responsible for who you invite into a universe you control and for what they can then see and change.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you write. We claim no ownership of your worldbuilding material.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit and display your content — but strictly and only so far as is necessary to operate the service for you and the people you have granted access to. This licence exists so that we can run the software; it is not a licence to publish, sell, license or otherwise exploit your work, and we will not do so.

You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you would not want to lose.

4. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not upload, store, create or transmit through the service any content that:

  • is unlawful in any jurisdiction in which it is stored or accessed;
  • sexualises minors in any way, whether real or fictional, or constitutes child sexual abuse material;
  • depicts, promotes, incites or glorifies terrorism, genocide, mass violence, or violence against any person or group;
  • harasses, threatens, defames, or invades the privacy of a real, identifiable person;
  • promotes hatred against, or dehumanises, people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation;
  • infringes anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights;
  • contains malware, or is used to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or any connected system;
  • provides genuine instructional guidance for producing weapons, explosives or other means of causing serious harm.

You must not use automated means to place unreasonable load on the service, resell access to it, or attempt to circumvent access controls, rate limits or usage restrictions.

This is a tool for fiction, and fiction goes to dark places. The list above is about material that is unlawful or that causes real-world harm — not about difficult subject matter in a story.

5. Moderation and removal

We may review, moderate, restrict, remove or refuse to store any content, and may suspend or terminate any account, at our sole discretion — including where we believe these terms have been broken, where we are required to act by law, or where we consider the content harmful to the service or to others.

We may act without prior notice where we judge it necessary. We will try to tell you why when we reasonably can, but we are not obliged to. We are not obliged to monitor content, and choosing not to act in one case does not waive our right to act in another.

If your account is terminated for breach of these terms, we may delete your content without providing a copy of it.

6. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that it will be secure or uninterrupted, or that any data will be preserved or recoverable.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GreenMind Media Inc., its officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or content, however caused and on any theory of liability, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or fifty Canadian dollars (CA$50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is so, the exclusions and limitations above apply to the fullest extent permitted, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms at any time, for any reason, and in any respect, at our sole discretion. Changes take effect when the revised terms are posted at this address, and the effective date above is updated to reflect it.

Where a change is material we will make reasonable efforts to bring it to your attention, but we are not obliged to give advance notice, and it is your responsibility to review these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service and delete your account.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice.

Clauses 3 (as to the licence necessary to have operated the service), 6, 7, 9 and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Saskatchewan have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

11. General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder will stay in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service. You may not assign them; we may, in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
